The best table lamp you can buy. Different in every way.

My eyes aren't what they used to be. You tire easily, especially in bright light. When I saw these lamps designed to illuminate the desk without blurring monitors, I was very intrigued. The price of a table lamp was a little shocking but I have bought OTT brand lamps in the past which are just as expensive. So I decided to give it a try. This lamp is so much better than anything I have used before that I have purchased 3 more of these lamps for my wife's various countertops and office. The light actually delivers on the promise of not interfering with the visibility of your monitors while illuminating the full width of your desk like no other lamp I've used. Unlike OTT, they became no more of a nuisance than a help after a few months of use. These OTTs were daylight fluorescent lamps. The color was warmer than regular green fluorescent lights, but the fluorescent flicker would drive you nuts if you're sensitive to it. Advantages: 1. No glare on the monitor. I have 3 large monitors on my desk. This table lamp does not affect any of them, even at full power.2. Real table lighting. The curvature of the lamp allows the light to be evenly distributed across the entire width of a large table when placed high enough. My computer desk is about 6 feet wide. This lamp stands at one end of the table. The adjustable neck is pulled up almost as high as possible. Every corner of the table is well lit.3. The brightness level is fully adjustable. The highest setting stops almost obscenely bright. The lowest setting is also good for those who don't like light. It is infinitely adjustable to any level between these extremes. With my poor eyesight I always keep it at its brightest level.4. The color temperature can also be continuously adjusted between icy white and warm yellow morning sun. Different light colors affect people's mood and energy levels. I personally prefer warmer light, around 3000 Kelvin when I'm relaxing. The warm light will lull you and you will gradually fall asleep. But when I'm working I like to be closer to 4000 Kelvin. This temperature helps me stay awake and work more productively by reducing the amber shift of the light. While everyone has their own preferences, this lamp suits almost everyone as you can steplessly adjust the light between the lowest and highest temperature setting. I even found myself adjusting it in the middle of the day to boost my dwindling energy levels or reduce eye strain. No annoying flickering. You won't miss a drop. Bad: 1st prize. If you've never spent that much on a table lamp, the price of this lamp may hurt you temporarily. Although I have to say it's worth the money. Once you've experienced it for yourself, it's hard to pass up flexibility and reduced eye strain. Overall, I highly recommend this table lamp if you experience severe eye strain when using other cheaper, poorly designed table lamps. You can customize this lamp to match almost any combination of brightness and color temperature that you prefer. Through trial and error, you may even find that the light you thought would help you best isn't actually working. That's the beauty of infinitely variable light. You don't stick with what you got out of the box. Worth every penny in my opinion. We love all four.
