Very happy with the monitor. Definitely widescreen. Was light out of the box. Very quick installation. The glossy black "frame" around the screen looks stylish and matches my new laptop (Compaq Presario CQ62). The slope isn't smooth, but once you get what you want, you're good to go. No problem with colors that look weird when not looking directly at the monitor. The colors don't quite match the quality on the laptop screen, but it's not very noticeable. For one of the cheapest Compaq monitors, this was a very good deal!
