At first my dog didn't like it and jumped out (even with the leash on the collar). I found the car seat wasn't as durable as I wanted it to be. However, when I added an extra leash, my dog didn't jump out. I really just wanted something to keep my dog in one place, especially since he was only walking from one end of the seat to the other. After that initial problem was fixed, it was really worth the money. I will add a small bed or fluffy bedding to make it more comfortable for him to sleep in the car. He weighs around 12-15 pounds and wears XS/S throughout. It's great if your dog is XXS-S. If your dog is larger than a purebred Shih Tzu, I would recommend looking into a different car seat. The color also goes with my theme of black accessories in my car. In general I like it. :)
