Having a piece left on the awning roller is a big plus for our family. Most are easy to put on and take off. The only thing I would change is to put the zip on the main part of the awning and not on the small part that folds down with the awning. I say this because rolling up the zipper can create a slight bulge that can deform or wear out in that area over time. I would also suggest a taller screen to filter out the extra sunlight. The pet screen is also a bonus.
