I was looking for something to extend the usefulness of my Surface Pro as I work as a data manager with a lot of files. I have several microSD and flash drives that I move files around all the time. This helps keep order and convenience when transferring files from one drive to another. I can also use USB peripherals to connect to my wireless keyboard and mouse at home. HDMI really expands the possibilities as I no longer need a separate mini displayport adapter. I can easily play movies on a big screen or even a projector.
