Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ LUMIMAN Changing Multicolor LED Light Compatible with Voice Assistants by Brian Chatum

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good set of bulbs, but inconsistent at times.

Bought 4 packs of pears. I was able to get 3 of them to work with no problems, but I couldn't connect the 4th at all after several attempts. The setup is a bit confusing. You install the app, screw in the lightbulb, turn the light on and off until it blinks, and then proceed to the setup step that includes WiFi setup. If the WiFi setup fails the first time, which was done with the two bulbs I had, it goes to the secondary setup where you have to turn the bulb on and off again until it blinks more slowly. One of the two lightbulbs that had the problem worked during this extra setup step. The last lamp I had just wouldn't connect no matter if I put it in the same light and used the same info as the one I just had. To work. No doubt it was most likely defective but I put it aside and tried again later as I didn't have a place to put it at the moment anyway. Integrating with Alexa was pretty easy, in the app you can choose to connect it to either Alexa or Google Home. Clicking on the ones you want will prompt you to install the integration part and once that's done they'll show up in the Alexa app for quick and easy integration. The bulbs themselves aren't particularly bright. They certainly light up the corner very well, but even in my smallest overhead light room, they're not bright enough to be used without alternative light sources. They are definitely worth using in corner lamps or bedside tables. Colors work well and I find the blend of colors they display is better than some other Alexa-enabled bulbs. I have a different set of bulbs from a different manufacturer and they show stronger magenta and blue tones. All in all, this is a good buy for the price. Depending on your room configuration, they may not be the ideal choice, and a bulb that has failed on mine isn't a good sign, but I've seen pricier bulbs perform worse.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
