First I wanted to replace a worn pair of leather Romeo loafers with a leather upper and rubber sole. I managed to find Tamarac Romeo slippers but they were out of stock at the time. I wanted something comfortable but firmer than the usual lightweight slippers. Rather than not getting a pair of Romeos, I looked for a pair of comfortable slip-on shoes. I have a wider foot so it was important to have a shoe with enough room to wear around the house all day. Loafers Dr. Martens Men's Boyle looked like it would fit, so I ordered them through Prime Wardrobe to try on first. I tried them on as soon as I got them and now I wear them every day. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I wear them indoors as slippers and don't intend to use them outside. I think I can order another pair for a versatile shoe. Another benefit I've noticed this winter is that I no longer get hit by static electricity like I used to when wearing the Romeo. This should be the material that the sole is made of.
