Review on DOS Motorcycle Dirt Bike Stand by Philip Berry

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This is generally mda.

Let's start with the positive! This product is perfect for the right spot in my garage to store my CRF off-road bike. Easy to do push ups even though my bike is heavy. The bike is much easier to park than on a conventional stand. And quite a bit of height adjustment! It can easily accommodate any size bike. Now for what makes it only 2 stars in my opinion. First, there were no assembly instructions, so I'll have to find out for myself. To be honest, it didn't take long, it wasn't that hard, and I probably wouldn't even look at them if they went with them. There wasn't enough split pin either, it's not critical, but still. While the mounting pad looks nice and has a good grip, it is too small, I have to be careful how I put it under my bike or it will fall off. Then comes the shock absorber. This is exactly why I bought this platform and one of the worst things about it. The damper doesn't allow the stand to return fully down and the bike hangs on the stand causing you to have to jack the bike up (exactly what I didn't want to do anymore!), remove the damper and hopefully that fixes my frustration. Finally, this thing isn't really all that strong and the pieces don't line up optimally, causing it to curl up a bit. I believe there are better products than this for almost the same price. This one just doesn't work as expected, but then again it was cheap so I can't complain too much. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • NON-SLIP - With strong anti-slip rubber pad on the top, it effectively prevents the bike from slipping, rust and corrosion resistant; The deck is also secured with a lock nut for security.
Cons
  • Some shortcomings
