First, you cannot beat the price. I was pleasantly surprised at the great quality of the journal considering the price was very reasonable. At first, I was concerned that the size of this journal might be on the smaller side, but it is actually the perfect size for my needs. I am very pleased with the quality and how sturdy, but soft, it feels. I love the two ring binder and the fact that it is refillable. Also, it's hard to find paper that will work with a fountain pen that isn't exorbitant in price. I did buy the refills that were suggested and they are perfect, however, next time I will buy the white rather than the craft color. I didn't know they came in white until after I had ordered the other one. My only complaint, and it's really not a complaint, is that I cannot figure out how to use the cord that is supposed to wrap around it to keep it closed. I don't need to keep it closed because I won't be taking it anywhere, but it would be nice to know how to use it if I did need it. The design that I got is the bird and it is lovely. I am very happy with the purchase and look forward to writing in it for many years to come.
