In general, I like this laptop. The lightbar feature is pretty cool and I wouldn't be surprised if other manufacturers didn't steal it. In general, this laptop works, but even with good cooling, it gets very hot. Even with the new BIOS, undervoltage of the processor is no longer possible. This is an Intel issue, but it's very annoying because I'm sure this processor runs much cooler at lower voltage. Also, using an older BIOS seems to allow undervoltage but leaves you vulnerable to the latest Intel issues, but I haven't confirmed the older BIOS yet. Turning off the turbo did tone down some of the 90-plus temps though. The screen feels smooth but looks a bit washed out due to the backlight, but that seems to have helped. Starting with 75Hz Freesync, this is definitely an upgrade. Overall, the laptop was easy to set up and I added NVME to one of the two additional M.2 slots. Taking the light strip off was a headache as I have large fingers. Overall, I gave this laptop a 4 out of 5, mainly because it's made out of plastic. Sturdy plastic, but still plastic.
