Aside from the fact that we have to set it up for the cat (she refuses to open it unless she's in the laundry room and needs to get out ). worked great. We mounted this in the wall between our family room and the laundry room so she could access the tray. Most cats can open the door, but I have a calico that does exactly what it wants to do and will NOT go through the cat door. A NOTICE. I recommend measuring the depth of your wall to make sure you don't need an extra piece to fit between two walls. Our wall is thinner than most and we needed an extra 1/2 inch (we sealed it with white tape, but I don't recommend that option. I'm too cheap to order an extra piece). Advantages: locks on one or both sides; Easy to use; works perfectly. Cons: Some cats just won't get through the door.
