First, I have two reservations. It doesn't get that cold here (last weather dropped to 28F) and I'm not usually cold. But given that, I really like these gloves and thought I'd write about my impressions. Well, recently we had a relative cold (this has happened before and I've tried many different gloves). While I'm usually fine in the cold, the 2 hour drive in 28-32F weather has been a nuisance lately. I came home with pain in my fingers and not moving for 15-30 minutes. I went to a bike shop and bought regular (finger) gloves and the problem persisted. So, on the advice of a friend (recommended mittens), I tried these. They performed very well in these temperatures (I have no experience to tell myself how much colder they will run). My fingers get cold at the end of the ride, but they have full dexterity (I'm about to type Strava blog) and don't hurt when I warm them up. I believe that you can sweat in these gloves even when it's relatively cold outside. What doesn't seem to happen is what I call chilled gloves (which happens with every other glove I've tried). This means that many gloves will eventually (because the hand sweats?) start to keep out the cold. I realized I really had a problem when I took off some gloves and found that my hands were warmer in those gloves. Gloves. What I really like about these gloves is that they don't. I think maybe it has to do with the type of material in the glove that absorbs a bit better.
