OMG IT SMELLS SO BAD. I FIXED IT!

Read all. The light blue rug turned up on a bargain so I bought it ($75 for a $300 rug, YES please!). I used to buy a smaller pink one and I love it! This blue smells VERY BAD. I hung it up to air. I took it to the laundry to use the professional washing machine with tons of fragrant down balls. Now I'm going to try the vinegar spray. The bottom line is that if a deal looks good, it must be true. That! There's no point in having a nice rug if it smells so bad you can't keep it at home! UPDATE: How to Get Rid of That Terrible Smell! VINEGAR. LOTS OF VINEGAR. MORE VINEGAR THAN EVER IN YOUR HOME. I went and threw a 1 gallon bottle on the 5x8 rug. Spray it full force (on your back) and let it dry. Twice. In earnest. Yes, it smells when it's dry. Yes, you will question your life choices. The vinegar smell disappears after drying. And guess what?! Also that awful smell! There's still a little bump, whatever that smell is BUT I'm very sensitive to smells. Now I would use it in the room and everything would be fine. BUT it is not included in any room. It happens in the teenage room! Which of course means it has to be ready to use. Lie down and listen to get Spotify ready. TAAAAAAA. I'm going to try washing a large washing machine in hot vinegar to see if it completely gets rid of every last drop of stink. A star. up to three stars. If it works, five stars. just because .1. I like this carpet2. Despite my best efforts to get rid of it. It was worth it for the cheap deal I got! 3. Teenage rug. If anyone has teenagers, they will understand me. Sometimes they are tricky monsters.4. I feel like I can conquer the world the same way I conquered smell. Mission accomplished!
