This is a good basic player. Runs smoothly and I'd say pretty quiet. The rotation speed isn't adjustable, but it's set at a good speed for me, not too fast and not too slow. It spins both ways, but there's no separate switch to change direction. You need to turn the power switch off and on again. This seems random as sometimes when I turn it off and on again it spins in the same direction and I have to repeat until it changes. The instructions say the direction is random, so I think it is. It also has an LED light in the center which is good if I ever need it. About 10 inches in diameter is one of the reasons I chose this model as I can place larger items on it without having to install a separate larger platform on it. So far I'm satisfied.
