Review on HC6000v2 HydroCheck Sump Pump Float Switch: Built-in Alarms & Dual Sensors (USA Made) by Mark Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saved me from watching the pump all night.

My foundation drain failed in the winter. In the winter I couldn't dig up the front yard to fix it. We've also had many days where it rained instead of snowing and then froze again. My drains in the basement were leaking water because there was nowhere else for it to drain. Once I figured out what was going on I took the transfer pump, attached a PEX inlet pipe to it and lowered it into the floor drain. When it rained, I started the pump manually. The problem was that the pump I had pumped out all the water after a few minutes and I had to turn it off until I needed it again. Because of this, I had several nightly pump monitors. I got fed up and started looking for a better way. I couldn't use a float switch for the floor drain, but in my research I found this one. I placed a sensor on the bottom of my PEX pipe and secured it with the zip tie provided. I placed another sensor on top of the PEX pipe and secured it with the zip tie provided. I hooked up the pump to the controller and plugged it in. The first time it rained the pump would turn on when I wanted it to and then turn off when it was supposed to happen automatically, it just worked, didn't need to be adjusted and I didn't have to watch the drains anymore. I'm going to dig up my front yard and fix it, but this controller has been keeping my basement dry for months with no issues. This controller was worth every cent and I can only recommend it.
