Other buyers have noted that the original carbon block filter (CT-24CAB) used to reduce the chlorine level of the dishwashing liquid entering the membrane had some loose carbon dust/particulate matter contains particles, as does the outlet filter and contrary to what is stated in the installation instructions. Once installed, dust can be easily flushed out by disconnecting the block filter outlet line from the inlet fitting on the membrane separator/barrel and running water through the first two filters until the flushing liquid is clear. Although there isn't much dust, I find that washing the block filter extends the life of the membrane. Mine has been installed for two years and is still reading 10ppm versus 440ppm from a tap - definitely a quality result.
