I've recently gotten into wooden ship building. It didn't take long before I realized I needed a tool for cutting wood, sanding, etc. Also, I didn't want to spend $100 on a tool, but I wanted something that could get the job done. After reading many reviews of different tools, I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I've used it with a number of attachments and it works great. It seems strong enough for an amateur. It is not suitable for heavy metal work but is suitable for basswood which I use. I need to cut a very small metal rod, but I haven't done that yet. I use it for relatively short periods of time so it doesn't get hot and haven't seen any signs of it heating up too quickly. Since I have never used a well-known branded instrument, I have no means of comparison. So far, however, I am very happy with this purchase. Didn't give 5 stars because the instructions were poor. There is no carrying case for the tool, but all attachments are packaged in a handy plastic box. Good value for money so far.
