Impressed with this collar

I have a very small dog. Last time I weighed him he was only 9.5 pounds. He might be a bit taller now, but definitely not more than 11 or 12 pounds. So I worried if it would suit him. It turned out I was worrying for nothing. The way they designed this collar makes it suitable for a wide range of sizes. Just follow the collar reduction instructions and you'll get a snug fit. As for the dog's reaction to the collar itself. Well I literally started seeing results with my dog the first day we used it. I give it about 3 "alerts" with just beeps and that's usually all we ever need (most of the time I just have to press the beep once or twice, I almost never have to go any further). The only time the shock was used was one day when he got into a fight with another of our dogs that he had instigated and it escalated and I only used the shock to get his attention and make him go Stop bringing what he did immediately. I really like that it also has a medium setting that vibrates. I've only had to use it a couple of times where it ignored beeps and escalated bad behavior (needless barking at the neighbor's dog after I told him to stop). I really appreciate being able to just surprise him with a vibration instead of resorting to punches. The battery life is very good. The charging cable is included and split into 2 inputs, so you can charge the collar and remote control at the same time without using 2 USB ports. I love that you can change the intensity of your functions, such as: B. the volume of the beeps and the desired intensity of the vibration and shock. The idea here is NOT to actually harm your dog, but to get his focus on the unwanted behavior and redirect him. I suspect people who use electroshocks all the time don't understand the concept of a collar and how to use it effectively. This collar, when used properly with other consistent and dominant training methods that will not harm your dog, will be extremely effective overall. I wish the manufacturer had explained this better in their information that came with the collar and the lack of that explanation is why I deducted a star. From talking to many people, especially first-time dog owners, they seem to think that if you're dominating your dog, you have to hurt or scare them, which actually isn't the case at all. Building trust in your dog while you remain in control works much more effectively than using fear to train your dog. Physical punishment only makes things worse and I cringe when I see people hitting their dogs. If only they knew how inefficient it is and what a waste of energy it is for them! Having a dog in your life can be incredibly rewarding and rewarding, and training your dog doesn't have to be a chore. And I understand how useful items like these are for this purpose, but proper training is also necessary to avoid unnecessary suffering for any animal. Overall, I am very impressed with this product and strongly recommend that it comes with information on how to use it in a friendly and consistent manner to get the best results. Can't comment on how it handles getting wet because we didn't have to worry at all. After getting this collar and using it for a few weeks I was very pleased to see the positive results in our dog's behavior that the collar supported. My neighbors comment on how well he is doing. In our neighborhood we have to live very close to each other while we are in town, so everyone is happy when there are more obedient dogs in our neighborhood.
