These socks are very comfortable with a gel heel and help soften/smooth my rough heels. I've worn these socks to dinner and to the grocery store and they've helped my heels not hurt like they sometimes do. They're primarily for hydration, but I've found that they add extra softness. After wearing for a long time or after washing, they become a bit sticky. However, a small amount of baby powder solves this problem. The only downside, in my opinion, is that they have to be hand washed. It would be more convenient to throw them in the washing machine with other clothes, but for me it's not a problem.
