Review on Sony DCRTRV10 Camcorder Discontinued Manufacturer by Russ Charmin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I WOULD PREFER TRV-8

I've been using the TRV-10 for about 6 months now. I took it with me to most places I visited. Without a doubt, it has very good audio and video clarity. Its slim and comfortable size is impressive. The photo quality isn't very good, as pointed out by other reviewers. For home use, it's just fine. Printing (on 35mm film) sucks. What didn't impress me was the memory card. It is useless if your computer has i-Link function. I recently received a SONY VAIO laptop with I-Link and have never used the memory card since. Now I understand that if you have or want to buy a computer with I-Link, a memory card is useless. I wasn't aware of this when I bought the camera. Sony DVGate Motion/Still software replaces I-Link. In my opinion, unless you want to spend an extra $200-$300 on a memory card, a TRV-8 will do. Best regards, Frank
