very easy to clean not quite waterproof if spills yes needs to be cleaned up immediately if not it kinda sinks in and wears down the table bottom i have seen water spilling my table top i guess that she had time to sit down because I had to lift the linen tablecloth and dry the table. it stands heavy weight but it's not heavy for me. For families with children, I recommend this type of tablecloth that you can clean without having to change or wash a lot of tablecloths.
