Desk is sturdy, can hold quite a bit of weight (large laptop plus accessories of course), casters work well; It helps to have two roller brakes that can be activated or not. The fairing appears to be vinyl which looks fine at the moment but I suspect it will eventually start fraying at the bottom edges. I bought this to use my computer while sitting in my chair and loved the ability to elevate it high enough to use while standing. However, the lowest adjustable height is a few inches higher than a chair (as is the case with a sofa and possibly a low bed). As a result, I have to tilt the stand about 30-40 degrees to get the keyboard low enough for comfortable use. This means that the fixed part of the table is still too high for the mouse and using the mouse on the inclined part of the table was not possible because the mouse slides down to the lower lip. Instead, I bought a wireless trackball.
