Review on Liquid Wrench L666 Lithium Grease by Eugene Cox

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost perfect, but it stinks.

-1 star because it smells awful and makes (some) people sick. You may be wondering, this is fat, so why should you pay attention to its smell? Because there's nothing you can do about it - that's why - it's incredibly widespread and powerful! However, it works very well as a general purpose lubricant/grease. So far I've used it on squeaky hinges, rusty tool parts, a vise, some 20-50 pound lever points and a few other metal objects - and it's worked great so far. When it comes out of the bottle it is very thick and very frothy. This means it's great for blasting tight spaces because when it magically expands, it completely covers all hidden surfaces and penetrates tiny crevices and holes. That's what I'm talking about. The foam settles quickly and you can appreciate its opacity (if the smell doesn't make you sick). The lubricant is (should be) quite sticky and adheres well to the applied surfaces. OK. As much as I love its effectiveness, I cringe and hesitate to use it because it's the most disgusting, stubborn, smelly petroleum chemical I've ever used. It can literally make you dizzy, nauseous, and give you an instant headache. You can also use a warm Petro bowl as an aromatherapy treatment. I will not use it indoors or on pieces of furniture (I did it once and regretted it for days). So I put on gloves, wait for a breeze and apply this to OUTSIDE garage tools and outdoor items and quickly leave the sprayed items away from living beings, especially people and pets, for 24 hours. Then I go back and wipe off the excess slime a few times. After a while I put things away.
