I bought this vest to walk my dog. I like to wear some kind of jacket instead of pockets but a Southern California long sleeve jacket is a bit much and this jacket is perfect for windy but warm days. In terms of sizing, I bought a medium sized jacket that sits well on the shoulders. and above the waist, but the jacket is a little tight at the hips, especially if you have a pear shape. I'd love to return mine for a large one, but I've already taken the tag off and worn it that way. now it's mine
