A simple, high quality way to use your existing speakers with your computer

I have decided to purchase a pair of powered speakers for my computer as my monitor does not have built in speakers. But because of the quality of the active speakers I wanted, the price went up quickly. And I had unpowered JBL bookshelf speakers that were no longer used after the move. Brainstorming! If I had an amplifier driving the line out of my desktop computer. Bingo, this Pyle PFA300 Home HiFi Stereo Amplifier is perfect. I've read many reviews of other speakers and amps that made a lot of noise when adjusting the volume through the computer's line out. There are no such problems here. The amplifier is relatively small. Not much more than my palm. It comes with either DC car audio wiring or an AC-DC converter for home use. Of course I use the AC version. I may end up installing it on the underside of my desk. But for now it just sits within reach on my desktop. The sound quality is excellent. And the volume and tone controls work smoothly and efficiently. Perfect solution. Very happy. I've always liked the Pyle brand. Pyle is associated to me with moving sound, like a bunch. A little play on words. Now I have an alternative to headphones on my computer. Good sound. Easily adjustable volume using both the amplifier's volume control and the computer's volume/mute functions. And the Pyle amp is a better solution than the vast majority of powered speakers on the market. I connected a computer via a stereo mini-jack line-out with a cable terminating in stereo phono jacks on the amplifier's line-in inputs. The amplifier is a bit dusty in my photo. Just proves this isn't a catalog shot.
