Counterfeiters have made the cartridge cylinder about 1 cm longer to increase the pressure in the active cartridge: 1. Take a square of toilet paper2. cut in half 3. fold the folded paper lengthwise and crosswise 4. cut the toilet paper roll into a piece approx. 1.1-1.2 cm long5. Insert the reel into the back of the plastic case (the longer back of the marbled handle). 6. Follow the instructions in the documentation to install the ink cartridge. The extra pressure on the ink cartridge should improve pen flow slightly. Hope that helps. I use the pens for the visual art I need to add, not the typography.
