I really liked these containers when I first bought them - light weight, no stains from tomatoes or other sauces and they go from freezer to microwave perfectly thanks transmit the ventilated handles. A great idea! In theory, these containers are a great idea, but either the material or the manufacturing process makes them fall short of the expected quality. After just a few months of regular use at home, the lids started cracking in the middle. In fact, I hand wash them about 75% of the time even though they are dishwasher safe. Cracks naturally collect grease and stains and cannot be kept clean, so they trap germs. Every time the lid starts to crack, I just throw the containers away because without the lid they are of little use. I'll be going back to the heavier Glasslock containers I've used for years. They're heavier and don't have vented lids, but they stretch and stretch and stretch.
