I don't have a big face and small nose, so the combination of butterfly and cat leggings suits me. I already knew they were made for dust and wind, not medical use, so it's no surprise they're made from lightweight knitted polyester with ear loops. I suppose I can try washing them on a gentle cycle and hanging to dry, or tumble dry them briefly on low heat and see if they really need to be hand washed. As for why I bought them I wanted to be able to protect myself from the wind and sunburn on my upper chest and nose when needed as I burn very easily. Another reason, like a random fig leaf. I have a bad reaction to medical masks as I can't breathe properly. Wearing something around my neck that I can pull up that protects me from verbal attacks or other issues seems like the easiest solution. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that the masks are made in the People's Republic of China (PRC). It wasn't clear until I received the real packaging that said 'Made in China'. By the way, if you don't recognize the name, look it up.
