It is obvious that you are paying a premium for such a high-quality and capable Bluetooth speaker. Having said that, for the price, I was anticipating a little bit more. I found a speaker that was five times less expensive, did not have a lower volume, and even had two speakers that worked in stereo. It was satisfactory. I did not check it, but it appears that this column was designed to be resistant to moisture. Although I did not check it, it appears that the design was intentional. When I use the speaker for one to two hours each day at a volume that is considered to be quite normal for an apartment, the battery capacity keeps up with my needs and easily lasts for a week or more. The perception is that it takes a very long time to charge, particularly in light of the rapid charging capabilities of modern computers and smartphones. The package came with a USB-C cable that had an odd appearance; the USB A connector on it was double-sided, but the cable was very difficult to insert into any USB port, so I don't use it. The sound quality is satisfactory, but there are insufficient highs; this issue can be somewhat remedied by adjusting the equalizer on the player found on a smartphone or personal computer. When first turned on, a low rumbling sound can be heard. This feature in the application on the JBL smartphone was turned off as soon as it was brought to my attention. In general, it's very good for an apartment, but on the street, it's weak, but that's to be expected. Overall, though, it's very good.
