After LG announced the closing of its mobile division, I started looking for something to replace it. In the end, I decided to purchase a horned model, which was the official version sold in Europe; nothing had been altered. After only a few short days of use, the touchscreen on the phone started acting erratically, and after three trying days, its owners finally gave in and took it to get fixed. After a further three weeks, the phone was handed back to the company, and in the report, it was stated that both the screen and the main board had been replaced. After that, I was able to use it without any problems for the following month, but after that, my phone stopped picking up the GPS signal. Unfortunately, this occurred right before I went on a road trip for my vacation, when I needed navigation the most. I discovered out the hard way that squeezing the top of the phone with your fingers will restore reception, but you have to do this procedure each and every time. As a consequence of this, I had to take the phone in for warranty repair once more, and in the meantime, I've been using my old LG V30+, which is now 3.5 years old. For a phone for such money, I personally consider the situation simply unacceptable, and reports of marriage from other users only confirm the worst guesses - Asus' quality control is at the "below the plinth" level.
