Great espresso maker. My only complaint is that the "new car taste of plastic" is gone FOREVER. It was bad too. The first 30 cups of coffee or anything with milk had a very plastic taste and a strong chemical smell. Not perfect. To fix this, I simply ran a bunch of cheap coffee and milk through the system until it tasted normal (it took probably three hours) and then ran all the cleaning cycles through. The coffee tastes great now. Update 05/13/2020: The machine is still running. There can be no question of problems. I had an issue with the occasional flick of the switch in my new home and I will say I was displeased dealing with Miele service. They were slow to respond and ended up offering little to no help. The problem turned out to be a faulty AFCI switch, NOT the Miele car. So far very happy with this purchase.
