Revain could not positively rate this alternative power supply as 100% waterproof, stating that it is a third party and not the original Blink XT2. Sky Direct claimed it was weatherproof, but I don't recall seeing that claim before buying it. I figured I'd have to improvise on the weather protection. Could you please clarify this issue. Another unclear issue is the use of lithium batteries when using Sky Direct's alternative AC power. Blink says that if you're using an AC adapter, you'll need to remove the batteries, as they can drain faster. No logical explanation for that. It seems to me that if you connect AC, the power will be used exclusively from AC and the batteries will be backed up. However, Blink and Revain say the batteries will need to be removed if AC power is to be used. Does Sky Direct know better about the Blink XT2 battery issue? Does this camera continue to use battery power or even more when plugged in? Thanks for the clarification. Consumers will also thank you and be more likely to buy more of your product if the right information is placed along with it. Many Thanks
