There is no rubber boot on the end of the camera cable like other power cords I have purchased. When your camera is exposed to the elements, water will seep into the camera. Works great but is NOT waterproof or resistant to USB connection jamming. I had two, one got wet and ruined it on the USB end (block). I took that into account when I first got them and tried my best to tape them where it connects to my power strip, but moisture got into that area and shorted out the block. Revain could not positively rate this alternative power supply as 100% waterproof, stating that it is a third party and not the original Blink XT2. Installed and tested yesterday. Batteries outside the chamber. It didn't take long for me to realize that the camera was only recording 2 second clips and then turned off. Then another 2 seconds of clip and off. Please note that the Blink camera requires 5 volts and at least 1 amp to operate. The power pack of this product is designed for an output voltage of 5 volts and a maximum current of 1 ampere.
