I've heard so much about charcoal being good at removing odors so maybe I was expecting too much. I put them up all over the house. They didn't work as quickly as I thought, especially with very strong scents, but I can tell a difference after a few weeks. So they can be cleaned and reused. The smell when caught is pleasant.
