Failed to load media. My first impression of this rotary tool was that it should be a toy in a child's tool box. It's much smaller than it appears in the online listing. As you can probably imagine, I was very skeptical that this tiny battery powered tool would produce any practical or usable power. This spinner does not come with a charging box, instead it comes with a VERY short USB-A to USB-C charging cable. According to the instructions provided (more on that later) you'll need to find your own charging box and make sure it supplies 5 volts and somewhere between 500mA and 2000mA. Most chargers on the market meet these specs, so finding a spare I had wasn't difficult. Now we come to the really confusing part. I was pretty sure this rotary tool would and should be charged before first use, so I connected it with one of my 10ft USB-C charging cables, since the cable that came with it is so short that it fits in most situations is not practical. . . As you can see from one of the photos attached to this review, the device emitted a bright blue light. Typically, for most rechargeable products, a blue light means they are charged and a red light means they need to be charged. If you read the instructions and believe you will see the attached image showing two pages of these instructions, in the charging section you will read that the indicator is red when it needs to be charged and turns green. when it is fully charged. There is no mention of light being blue or what blue light even means. Thank goodness someone from the company mentioned blue light in a product description on Revain. The blue light means it needs to be charged and when it goes off the device is fully charged. I've been disappointed with some of the other products I've reviewed because they didn't come with any instructions at all, but providing instructions that are completely wrong is definitely more disappointing. This tool does not have a red or green light bulb. Blue only... and that blue light not only indicates that it needs to be charged, but also serves as an indicator that the device is running at its lowest speed. Two blue lights show average speed and three blue lights show top speed. Even if you look at the left side of the instruction image attached, the most important part of the instruction should be the warning section. This company doesn't seem to have a warnings section, they have Waring! Chapter. While I realize this is a typo, when you attribute this to loading indicator errors, I marvel at the attention to detail this company has in their work. The device works as you can see in the attached video, but only time will tell how long it will work as advertised. One final note... I really don't understand why they were messing around with slow to medium speeds. You literally can't apply pressure without jamming the shaft at low speed, and when I tried to drill a small hole in wood at medium speed, the shaft jammed. I really like this product because it is...portable and small lightweight hobbies. If the instructions weren't so poorly written and confusing, and if there was any real use for slow to medium speeds, I would give this product 5 stars. As it stands, it deserves three and a half stars. As this is not an option I will be generous and give 4 stars.
