Black Electrical Tape

These are the smallest rolls of tape I have ever seen. Not at all near the standard size. This is getting to be a trend for things that Best Buy sells. They are now large enough that they can demand especially sized product to sell. I would much rather buy locally from Harbor Freight than wait to get a disappointing Best Buy product.

  • Nice assortment of colors, but the label paper sticks to the side of the roll which can be annoying

  • Although the tape seems fine, they are not 3/4" width. They are 18mm wide.

Pay attention to the length

Pay attention to the length, 30 ft. is less than half the length of the 60 - 66 ft. roll you are probably used to buying. We use a ton of economy tape for pulling wires through pipes and ceilings. This tape works for that but costs are a little more than double (per foot) than I am used to paying at a big box store for similar quality. My BAD, the description says 30 feet. I will not make this mistake again. Glad I only bought two of the 10 roll packs.

Adhesive gets gummy fast and tape does not stretch well.

Tape will stretch but not shrink back to near its original form making tight wraps around a conductor difficult. I would have gotten the Scotch 35 if I had known this before this purchase.

Great colors and hold well, even in water

I use these to mark the ends of my long hoses, so they're color-coded at the faucet. Work great, even when one end goes into the water.

I like the colors best in my review

I bought them to color code some equipment. Nothing electrical about my use. After the first use it was difficult to get the end loose to take a second piece of tape off.

Color coded organization

I needed weatherproof tape to organize canopy parts. This electrical tape will do the trick. There was ample tape per roll to mark 30 pieces and wrap around the tote. The tape feels like contractor grade electrical tape so I'm certain it will hold up over the years.

It's electrical tape

It's sticky on one side and not sticky on the other. Also, it comes in 6 colors. Holds well so far. Will update if that changes.

good product, the rolls are smaller than traditional wire tape which you would expect to find in a local hardware store.

Is it just me or are they tiny compared to the usual electrical tape?

These arrived and I thought I was a giant - they seemed tiny and were even a little stiffer than the regular type of electrical tape one gets at L or HD. Wasn't impressed by the performance since they didn't feel as flexible. Felt a bit cheated. I might go and really measure the width because they don't seem to be 3/4" if even 1/2".

craft masking tape in my review

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised when I received my order. It was exactly what I needed to edge my water color paper to paint. It is a perfect width and it does not tear my paper when removing. The value is fantastic and I like the idea of having several smaller rolls instead of one giant roll. Will buy again!

Only 5 rolls. In this 6-pack.

One roll clearly removed from packaging. Only 5 rolls. Not worth the hassle of return, so I guess I'll suck it up. But do not buy this if you are the type of person who expects to get what you have paid for. If you like being lied to and only getting a portion of what you paid for? Go for it.

Terrible packaging/Size is false

Six rolls LESS than 3/4 inch (.70) in a dangerously hard-to-open plastic package with each sticky roll sealed so tight you must peel off the label and wrapping made with an ancient secret curse and cut yourself several times—times six. What, are we in a trade war? Feels like it. I also bought two art-deco standing floor lamps ($200) because of the nice photo but only after you put one together do you find the ENTIRE bulb sticking straight up ABOVE the lamp shade. Okay! Great deal on 10 rolls

We weren’t sure how much was on a roll. It tells you but for us we go by how much we can wrap up for the garbage and recycle. There is a l ot on each roll. The value is better than the dollar store and the amount you get surpaasses that so much more i am very happy with this purchase/.

As advertised: my feedback

As expected. I like that they are individually wrapped and come in a resealable bag. Easy to open. Some reviewers mentioned a chemical smell, but it just smells like plastic and I had to actually put it to my nose to smell it. It’s not a strong smell at all. Im pleased.
