Review on 🐾 Convenient and Versatile: Four Paws Folding Panel Gate for Easy Pet Containment by Ericka Montoya

The bad thing is that the gate is so light and...

I bought Pepper for my very calm (especially a Chihuahua) dog. Pepper weighs less than 4 pounds. So you can figure out it's not big enough to damage items. And she doesn't chew at all. I wanted to separate the dining area so it would have a kitchen and dining area when we're not home and it's an odd area with a sliding door and a fireplace. In any case, this gate actually works and fills the gap in my intended area. The bad news is the gate is so light and fragile I have to put a million things on it to keep it from crashing. I would put 4 chairs on one side and a toy basket and table on the other side to keep it upright. Overall I feel I could take a few pieces of wood to do this and they would be heavier and more efficient. While this item was annoying, I certainly got it working. I've used it about 4 times. 2 times my dog got out and he is not a smart dog. When we are not at home she usually stays in one place to sleep until we come back. Then, to top it off, a board broke. My dog didn't go wrong with these gates, they are so flimsy they must have cracked when folded. I am very dissatisfied and will try to return it. I did not keep the original packaging as I had no intention of returning it. I've read reviews of these gates and seen that some others had the same issues as me, only they had much larger dogs or dogs that chew. (Any big chewer can chew through crazy things like a bathroom door) so I gave it a try because I really liked the idea and the look of this gate. If they add more stability and stronger bars, this could be a real winner. Added a picture so you can see how it ripped - I sealed it with tape so it won't fall apart on return.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
