Review on Ratchet Replacement Leather Without Buckle Men's Accessories for Belts by Gregory Castellanos

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It only lasted 6 months

First, they're too flimsy (read, cheaply made) so it's not just the buckle's teeth on the back of the buckle that come loose (I unbuckled the buckle 3 times while unbuttoning my pants) (this can be fixed by adding a small thin plastic spacer). attaches just below the strap where the teeth hold the strap in the buckle.) But the real problem is that the plastic material of the ratchet sucks (read cheap again). These two "replacement" belts with different innUSA brand "slidebelt" buckles had to be cut in half to take the belt off me. The first strap lasted 5 months, the second failed after 3 months (both within 8 months). when purchased both needed scissors to remove the belt). They fail because the metal tab that presses against the ratchet's plastic stops eventually cuts into the too soft plastic material of the ratchet sewn into the belt and gets stuck under the plastic to keep the buckle from loosening and when that happens the only solution is to remove it the pants and the buckle is to cut the belt in two! For infrequent use this might be fine, but for a belt that is worn every day I would avoid it!

Pros
  • GOOD DURABLE BELT
Cons
  • The slim design may not appeal to people who want a stronger, more attractive buckle.
