This is a really nice 'travel mug' as described in the Revain ad. Yes, it's big = 17 oz. But certainly not a travel mug. It has a heavy base and that makes it heavy overall. As I get older I tend to use lighter plates, cups, teapots etc. I find that the handle was too high and it got heavier as I drank from it. The lid latch got sloppy very quickly and opened/closed too easily - liked it when it was new and the latch stayed open or closed. The really bad deal was how incredibly quick the hot drinks cooled. It's good if you're near the microwave at home, but of course you don't keep it warm. I gave it 2 stars as it is very beautiful and it came in a very nice matching box, well packaged and fast. It's sad to be back, but it didn't serve the purpose of the "travel mug".
