MinusA2 and then received it on June 5th (2019) and installed it right after that. I bought an air purifier after several months of health problems that I could not identify the cause of. Aside from the hacking (coughing) that also seems to come from previous years, I started getting flu-like symptoms in January of this year that lasted about three weeks. Oddly enough, after my recovery, I would relapse every few weeks and ended up having symptoms almost weekly that oddly only lasted for a day (cough, fever, body aches, etc.) that were relieved by over-the-counter medication. In those months there have been 3 doctor visits, two different antibiotics (which rendered him unconscious for a few weeks upon completion but then relapsed again), two chest X-rays (each clean), and although he has never had an allergy, various allergy medications prescribed and tried, without difference. I travel for work, but never have any problems abroad. When I'm not on business trips, I work from home and spend most of my time there. Also, my other half sometimes got day symptoms in April/May (strangely at the same time as me), but she works in an office so isn't home that often. So, in the last few weeks of May, I began a detailed investigation at home. What and how I tested: First, I constantly checked the air quality throughout the house with a tester (micro dust PM2.5 / PM10 / PM1.0 and the level of volatile organic compounds in the room and other sensors). Since the problems appeared to be related to chest symptoms, I assumed they were most likely problems, but nothing resulted in abnormal readings. I then checked our water sources, although we know we have always had poor water quality in San Diego, we have been purchasing/using alkaline artesian mineral water from Carlsbad for years. I tested this water, our bottled water dispenser (to see if there were any contaminants in the system) and cleaned the dispenser thoroughly, although I did not find any suspicious ppm levels or other noted issues at any of the sources. We have pets that are very clean and already vacuum constantly (robot and manual). Conducted visual checks throughout the house for possible problems (mold, air conditioning, filters, fans, etc.) that should have been detected with a tester anyway. Still suspecting the air quality, I decided to try an air purifier. In addition to the MinusA2's thorough filtering and good reviews, I chose it for its unique wall mounting options (there are very few of those), auto-detection, and the level of filtering for the room and adjacent kitchen area where I spend most of my time. my time, that's about 730 square meters. ft. (unit advertises coverage of up to 815 sq. ft. at 2 air changes per hour; allergy sufferers are rated for 408 sq. ft. at 4 air changes per hour). I chose the anti-germ filter model among three other customizable filter options. First mission: On that Wednesday, on the living room table, I unfortunately had another relapse on Friday, but I blamed it on someone who had already suffered. Immediately after installation the sensor immediately switched to 'Red' for high detection (checked at the same time with a tester and still saw minimum/acceptable values) and eventually switched to 'Purple' and then 'Blue' over the next few hours. . It will switch between tiers at different times over the past two months, increasing filtering. You've probably already seen how it turns red when cooking certain dishes in the kitchen. I circulate the air in the rooms with ceiling fans to keep it in good overall condition. I think it's very useful to have an auto-detector engine instead of manually determining when you might need better filtering. I am happy to report that after this first recurrence, I did not have another recurrence for the next two months, with very little if any coughing problems. I did the first pre-filter and sensor cleaning as directed a month later and everything seems to be working fine (cleaned at the beginning of each month). assemble). The noise level is minimal even when the sensor turns red and the airflow increases. As I drowned out the room and cranked the unit to higher levels, the maximum turbo level at that distance was only 60dB, the high level was 54dB, and the average level varied from 50dB and below (my meter only shows LO when it is below 50, so unchecked low and quiet). the settings). I haven't installed the device yet because I wanted to make sure it made a difference (which I think it does) so I probably will within the next month. I bought a WiFi model to see and control the elements of the device. I left the sensor set to the default medium sensitivity rather than increasing it, although it's nice to be able to change it as needed (I'm attaching a screenshot of today's app as I type this). The app has a decent rating on Android at 3.1 so far, although it only has at least 16 ratings. Most of the issue reviews were about app and/or wifi issues, which I haven't had any issues with, or to view the history of detection levels as it basically shows the current levels and provides control. I will say Rabbit Air has responded (good or not) to every review, which is nice to see (I haven't posted a personal review yet). Aside from the manual cleaning of the pre-filter, the 4 filters are advertised as only needing to be replaced annually, and the full set costs about $95, which I think isn't bad (good for annual costing). You can see the details of the 6 filtering steps on the product page. It's nice that the unit has lids in a variety of colors and designs to match the decor of the room, although I bought a plain white lid model, but I plan on adding my own work after installation. I also bought a recessed outlet where I will mount the unit so that the cord is hidden behind the unit (the back is flush with no plug notch on the back; also the plug is straight, not at a 90 degree angle). I didn't use the timer (because it's been in auto mode since install) and turned off the mood lighting (although the first time I set it up, night modes automatically turned off). My pros and cons: Pros: Wall mountable (flush back, no cutouts behind the block), 6 filter stages, large area air filtration/air circulation, sensor with automatic detection, easy filter change and annual costs, mostly flat front cover with available designs or possibly own designs ( some cons below), overall very quiet, 5 year manufacturer warranty, real difference in performance (for me). Cons (minor things on a personal wish list): Straight outlet - I bought a recessed outlet so this isn't a problem. but it would be nice to have a 90 degree end, the led area on the front cover is raised but flush would be good for the design, the application needs a discovery history (at least for some time; 24 hours, 7 days etc .) ), is a pretty thick setup at 7 inches (filter box is about 2.75 inches), but not bad considering the performance. Overall I'm very happy with the MinusA2's design and performance, with the exception of a few small comments that won't stop me from buying the device again. I hope this information was useful to those who thought about it.
