These lights really need either a hole behind the wiring or I think I'll use a 3/4 piece machined cut that's appropriate and my hole like a break in the woods. I don't want to drill a 1/2-3/4 inch hole in my trailer right where the deck goes, hence the wood washer. You'll need at least 3/16 inch of space to run the wires through. The product photos do not show how the wires protrude backwards when rotated downwards. These aren't the most durable devices you can find, but the price makes replacing them less of a pain. I'm thinking of using two intensity levels, one as a low beam and a bright one with turn signals. Answering another poster about light guides. Full LED taillight is about the same when broken.
