OD 7 1/2" X 7 1/2" X 2 1/2" closed and ID 6 1/2" X 6 1/2" X 2" when open is more than enough space for my LG portable DVD drive and spare cables. The two halves are about 1 inch deep and have a strap on one side to hold the device and a pocket on the other side for cords. The sound and hinge feel solid and are made of the same material that covers the outside of the case, no cheap plastic here. your device from bumps and scratches. All in all I like this case and would recommend it.
