The distance between the bottom shelf and the floor in my pantry is about 2 feet. I bought these containers to make this space more comfortable and I'm so glad I did! I use containers to store supplies, packed lunches, drinks and more. They are very strong. I love that you can put them together and it's very easy to reach and take what you need. I've never had a problem with them tipping over or breaking. I even use a few under the sink to hold items. Excellent purchase!
