I installed two of these strips under the tile edge of my pool, high enough that they don't get wet from the pool or rainwater. We don't even use the pool in winter. I installed them around October 2018 and they were completely dark by the end of December. After the first few weeks I noticed they looked a little duller than before and I thought it was my eyes. Then, after two months, they were so dim that the lighting was probably about 10% less than the original, but I could still change color, and up close I could still see very dim light. Then one day I noticed that they were completely dead. I have a feeling these LED lights will get damaged in the cold. I live in Los Angeles so the temperature never dropped below 38F in the winter and that was maybe a night or two and the rest of the winter it was probably above 40F during the coldest part of the night.
