I like the slim design that allows light to wrap around the beam when needed - that's why I ended up buying them. I had simple places that couldn't be manipulated one way or another. I've had all kinds of beam impediments and it has worked for all of them. Clips are strong. My only issue is that I wish they were with push in connectors and not the twist on style as the braided wire was a bit difficult to get into my push in connectors. You will also need your own NM terminals for the included cable. They're cheap, but that's what you need to buy. When using a Lutron approved LED dimmer the lights (I had 8 on this dimmer) dim about 50% from full to low so don't expect them to go to a super dim setting.
