I always clip my MacBooks not only to protect them but also to minimize what I find to be sharp edges that irritate my hands while typing. For some reason, the manufacturers didn't provide fasteners for cases that fit the new MacBook Pro 2020. I was looking for an alternative and came across this case. I really like it! When closed, it looks like a leather notebook. It provides a nice, soft hand support when typing and smoothes out the edges of the Mac much better than plastic case latches. Some say the skin doesn't allow the lid to close completely when you close it, I've had no issues with the Mac sleeping and the lid hinges don't tighten. I haven't had any overheating issues either. I'm a videographer, so I tested my MacBook Pro myself. The only time I have fan noise that indicates heat build-up is when I'm coding, which is a very intense process. I expect this and the case allows heat to escape so it doesn't overheat. As long as this company continues to make faux leather cases in this style, I will be buying them for any future MacBooks I have.
