This is a rich, creamy hair mask that's lightly perfumed but not overpowering at all. Contains no parabens, silicones and sulfates, which is very pleasant. The list of ingredients is very long, only a few ingredients are suspicious. Begentrimonium methosulfate is a preservative. Cetrimonium chloride is also a preservative. Phenoxyethanol is a preservative. All three score highly in the allergy and immunotoxicity category. I personally try to avoid harsh chemicals. Research what you want from cosmetics and find out what your hair and skin like and don't like. Just because it worked for your sister doesn't mean it will work for you. It took me months to figure out what worked and what didn't. Due to thinning hair and aging skin, I stay away from harsh chemicals and fragrances. It's crazy when you start sifting through the ingredient lists of popular products and realize they're doing more harm than good!
