Great thermos. I use it for tea ceremonies so I open and close it every few minutes and it doesn't seem to affect the water temperature. I haven't measured exactly how long it keeps liquids hot, but I left the water in it for about 6 hours and when I drained it, the water was still hot enough that I couldn't put my finger in it. I've been using it for a few days now and can't find any problems. Pros: - keeps water very hot for several hours - opening mechanism works well, no leaks when closed - pours nice and slowly without spilling - love the matte black color on the outside, looks very slick - the metallic smell of a new thermos is gone with the first hot water rinse Cons: - As with most matte materials, you can see some fingerprints on it, but I had to look for them at an angle to see them, not visible just by looking at them. However, I used to have a plain silver thermos and it was much worse with fingerprints. Can't report: - I only use it at home so I don't know how well it keeps liquid inside when shaken for a long time or left flat. . I've tried shaking it full force over the sink for a minute or two and it hasn't leaked, but I can't tell if that would work longer. Would I buy again? - Absolutely. I was a bit hesitant as I don't care much about brands and was concerned that the quality might suffer, but so far at a very good price and without any problems.
