My work truck (a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500) with a Walmart battery (750CCA) sat outside for weeks during a cold winter without moving, so the battery was drained frequently. I have a larger charger and jump starter, but bought this one to keep out because it's waterproof and the battery status indicator was easy to read at a glance. I installed it and it's exactly what I wanted. I leave it outside in the rain and cold, plugging in the jumper cables as needed to keep it charged, but also unplugging them when I need to drive the truck fast. March 21 update. I've bought it twice now and each has lasted less than a year. It's fine if you don't move it, but I've dragged it across the street and twice it stopped working immediately. You get what you pay for and I need to switch to another brand.
