Review on πŸšͺ Whitmor Deluxe Utility Closet with 5 Extra Durable Shelves and Removable Cover by Chris Estes

Sturdy but made for short people

Received this cabinet today and I have to say it's pretty solid. Metal bars, metal shelves, easy to assemble by hand. I don't know what others mean when they say it's weak. This is not my experience. However, I've had about 5 different types of these things and the plastic bars that hold the shelves together are exactly the same as the other units. So they can bend over time. But right now this thing holds more clothes than any of my other units. However, I have one major complaint: it's short. I'm not huge (5'11"), but still my shirts and jackets need about 6" more vertical space to hang freely. See attached photos. It's great for waist length pants or jackets and I'm sure it would be great if you were a lot smaller than me (and therefore smaller clothes) but there's not even a chance my pieces fit like they did back then. It does not cause wrinkles over time. The height isn't a deal breaker for me as this is long term storage anyway (and honestly it would be too difficult to take apart and repackage/return, especially considering all the other cabinets are the same height seem to have), but if you're a decent size, I recommend using a single-rod setup (which I've specifically tried to avoid due to space constraints). One caveat: I've had this product for less than a day, so I might upgrade later if it falls apart quickly.
